Ok, here is the URL to customize your unique Social Network identity right here.

    http://www.dbachrach.com/showyourself/

Once there, click the box that says "we host the images"

    1. Next, just enter all of your Social Network identities you would like to aggregate into this network to build your connections!

    2. Click the checkbox on social networks where you do NOT have an identity (or do not wish to share it with all of us, ha!)

    3. Select the colors for your widget

    4. Click "generate code"

    5. copy the code. This will now fit perfectly into your sidebar menu, again this is in your profile edit page, most of you should now have the "my widgets" module, but you can also paste this into any of the "about me" modules.

There you go!  You can also post this into a blog, but I feel the sidebars are much more visible.

EyeJot Free Video email widget added!

I've resized the Eyejot video email widget so it will fit into your sidebar.

Just goto the Widgets forum, click on the eyejot widget and copy the code.

Then, past it into your sidebar "my widgets" section.

    What is Eyejot?

With this sidebar Eyejot widget, a webcam, and a free eyejot account, you can post a video "hello" on your website, and visitors to your site can click on the widget, and it will instantly record a video message BACK to you, that appears in your free eyejot account! AND eyejot is Twitter-friendly! So you can now Twitter in video. How cool is that?

You will see I now have an eyejot widget in the bottom of my profile, with no video in it yet. As soon as I do a "hello" video to all of you, I'll move my widget up so it's more visible when you enter my profile page.

Russell discovered eyejot and we are both excited about the possibilities.

Here is some more info on Eyejot
    (excerpt from the eyejot website)

Harness the power of video in conveying emotion, tone, and energy while leveraging the flexibility of an email-like system, where each party can send and view messages at their convenience.

Sending video messages with Eyejot is as easy as sending email. There is no software to download or install. Just login to your account, record or upload your video, and send! The recipient gets a friendly email message telling them they have a new video message, and they can watch it with a single click. No registration required.

Eyejot works with all modern Web browsers and operating systems. Chances are, you already have Adobe Flash Player installed so there is nothing more for you to install.

Eyejot is the first, comprehensive, client-free online video messaging platform ideal for both personal and business communications. It offers everyone the ability to create and receive video messages in a self-contained, spam-free environment. With no client to install, you can start using Eyejot immediately with any browser, on any platform. It even features built-in support for iTunes™ (and iPods™), mobile devices and social networks like MySpace™. Watch Eyejot video examples.

    Why Eyejot?

Eyejot offers people the ability to easily communicate more naturally with one another through video while still taking advantage of some of the great traits that email offers in terms of working across geographies and time zones, and eliminating spam from the equation.

Ever have someone interpret your email differently from the way you had intended? Without facial expressions and gestures that happens often. With Eyejot, your friends, family and business contacts won't have any trouble whatsoever understanding what you mean. They'll be able to see your energy, passion, concern, interest, excitement, humor - you name it. They'll see and hear it.

    Theme Zoom Radio Players

Friday, April 11, 2008, 09:10 PM CST [General]

Here are the Theme Zoom embeddable players that feature all the latest podcasts.

In this blog post, you can see the player, and if you go to the group forum, just click on the topic with the same name (Theme Zoom Radio Player) and you can get the code!

Just cut and paste the code right into your blog or profile.

Both of these players are too wide for the left menu sidebar on your profiles, BUT I'm building a widget that will be sized correctly for the SIDEBAR and will have it up as soon as possible, so you'll have an array of players. *smile*

One place to collect network profile goods

I realized that it would be useful for us to have a group that covers just profile editing and fun, beyond what the FAQ sections provide here on the site. So, in the vast neurons of my social brain the Widgets Group has taken flight. Yes, business profiles need a bit of personal web 2.0 widget fun to keep them personable. In the coming weeks this is where you will find new badges and profile advice, widget code and links, and tips on how to bring your other networks and profiles into one central hub here. Feel free to add your own discoveries from web 2.0 in the group blog and forum to benefit other members in their profile setups!
